The Mini Lift, a non-surgical face-lift
Usually called ‘the non-surgical face-lift’, the Mini Lift anti-aging treatment is a quicker and easier alternative to more drastic methods, such as plastic surgery, to flaunt a refreshed face and neck.
The Mini Lift technique is a non-invasive procedure that gives your face a younger, more relaxed appearance, and is achieved using two cosmetic injectables that have been commonly used in aesthetic medicine for many years: a neuromodulator and a hyaluronic acid filler. Both are injected into the skin with Dr. Blackburn’s skill and finesse using an ultrafine needle.
The first product (neuromodulator) helps relax the muscles of the face to soften its features, while the second one, a crystal-clear gel made from hyaluronic acid (a sugar naturally produced by the body), helps fill in wrinkles and restore volume to certain targeted areas of the face. The safety of these products has been documented for all skin types
Following the Mini Lift procedure, the results are immediately visible, while the natural appearance of the skin is preserved. Although some side effects can occur, including mild inflammation at the site of the injection or some redness, these usually disappears within 24 to 36 hours.
According to the desired outcome and the person’s skintone, the number of treatments may vary. Dr. Blackburn will personalize a schedule of appointments in order for the patient to see a progressive, natural-looking result.
A few Mini Lift treatments are sometimes enough to improve the volume of the cheeks, heighten the eyebrows and tone the neck, lower area of the face and the area around the lips, in order to obtain a balanced, refreshed look. However, according to the desired outcome and the person’s initial skin tone, the number of treatments may vary. Dr. Blackburn will then create a personalized schedule of appointments in order for the patient to see a natural progression of the coveted results.
Six months after the procedure, for the majority of patients having chosen the Mini Lift the results remain visible for 50 to 80 per cent of them. And after one or two years, some of them have chosen to add a few minor clinical treatments for optimal results.
