PREPARING FOR BREAST IMPLANT REMOVAL OR REPLACEMENT

At the first visit, we will examine your breasts and body so we can decide together whether any further surgery will be needed at the same time as the implant is removed. Depending on the size of your breasts and the degree of sagging, it may be preferable to replace the implants, do a breast lift, or perform a combination breast augmentation and lift. We will explain the benefits of each option, and together, we will choose the solution that best meets your needs. 

You must refrain from smoking for six weeks before and six weeks after the surgery. This measure promotes faster healing, and helps prevent the surgical wounds from reopening. Healing may take longer for people with diabetes or who are overweight.
